6. Aero QBlade Theory

Aero QBlade

Aero QBlade Theory was founded by J.Koto, Firdaus, I.S. Ishak and M.S. Ammoo, collaboration between Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia and Ocean & Aerospace Research Institute, Indonesia.

The Aero QBlade theory was developed based on the empirical numerical method. The theory is able to calculate the thrust and torque of the helicopter blade.
The theory was transfered into commercial software which is called Heli Pro Software.

7. Ice-Ship Going Theory

Ice_Ship

The Ice-Ship going theory was founded by J.Koto from Ocean & Aerospace Research Institute, Indonesia.

The theory is able to evaluate performance ice resistance of a ship sailing in the ice condition such as unfrozen, frozen and level ice during ahead and astern condition.
The theory was transfered into commercial software which is called Ice Ship Pro Software.

8. Jaswar-Siow Damping Theory

Potential-Viscous Damping

The Jaswar-Siow Damping Theory was founded by J.Koto-C.L.Siow, collaboration between Ocean & Aerospace Research Institute, Indonesia and Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia.

The Jaswar-Siow Damping Theory was developed by integration Difraction Potential and Viscous Damping Theories. The theory is able to evaluate heave motion response of floatig structure. This theory included viscous damping in the calculation of RAO of floating structure to increase the heave damping magnitude in motion equation.
The theory was applied into commercial software which is called Offshore Pro Software.

9. DSM-Ship Production Theory

DSM_SP

The DSM-Ship P Theory was founded by J.Koto-Moh Hafidz Effendy, collaboration between Ocean & Aerospace Research Institute, Indonesia and Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia.

The DSM-SP Theory was developed by using Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) method in order to address the complexity during ship construction. Partitioning DSM process is to minimize the amount of iteration (iteration) within the process.
The theory was applied into commercial software which is called DSM-SP Pro Software.

10. Minimum Gap Distance Theory

Gap Distance

The Minimum Gap Distance theory was founded by J.Koto and C.L.Siow, collaboration between Ocean & Aerospace Research Institute, Indonesia and Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia.

The theory is able to predict minimum gap distance between two floating structure in tandem arrangement. This theory was developed based on the experimental data between TLP and Semi-Submersible.
The theory was transfered into commercial software which is called Offshore Pro Software.
